Rossendale covers Rawtenstall, Haslingden, Bacup, Waterfoot and the villages along the valley. There are two ways in and they suit different days: the A682 over the tops is quicker and far nicer to drive, the A56 and M65 is duller and much better after dark or in bad weather.
